Water Quality Reports

For a list of components of SSID water, see the most recent Full Spectrum Report, performed twice per year on both wells, and the Nitrates Tables recorded quarterly. Sample station locations are identified on the Waterworks System Map. Download and enlarge the map to see its legend.

Monthly Water Reports

These are the most recent bacteriological reports, from samples taken by SSID's Water Sampler at 8 stations in Savary Shores on October 1. Four of the 8 results show "LT1" which is the best possible result, meaning less than 1 Coliform or e.Coli per 100mL water sampled. Four other samples showed coliforms, and one showed a single e.Coli. Coliforms in themselves are not harmful, but do indicate an environment hospitable to bacteria. The previous sampling on September 19 showed low counts of coliforms, so when the October 1 retest showed similar results plus the e.Coli at Sample Station 1 (Blair Rd and Isabel Ln), the Vancouver Coastal Health Drinking Water Officer directed us to do a chlorination flush.

There is no April 2025 report because of a flight cancellation (runway construction) to the lab, after samples had already been delivered to Vancouver Coastal Health. However, we know from the bacteriological results of the April Full Spectrum Report, that there were no Coliforms or E.Coli.
