BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED OCTOBER 17
The water in Savary Shores is safe to drink. All 8 sample stations now show LT1 (less than 1) counts of coliforms and E.coli, so the Drinking Water Officer has lifted the Boil Water Advisory. (The note on these reports below indicate that a boil water advisory is in effect, but that advisory has been lifted since the reports came in.)
Sample Station 1 at Blair Rd & Isabel Ln was showing "background colonies" in the October 14 test results—harmless, but a potential harbour to other bacteria—and is now showing all clear in the October 21 retest results, so SSID does not have to reinstate the Boil Water Advisory.
There is no April 2025 report because of a flight cancellation (runway construction) to the lab, after samples had already been delivered to Vancouver Coastal Health. However, we know from the bacteriological results of the April Full Spectrum Report, that there were no Coliforms or E.Coli.
